By placing an order and confirming payment on the website of DC Paint Solutions you are entering a legally binding contract in accordance with the following terms and conditions of sale.

Age
It is a criminal offence to knowingly sell aerosol paint to anyone under the age of 16. By purchasing from this web site using a credit or debit card you confirm that you are over the age of 18, or are not acting for someone who is under the age of 18.

Goods
Specifications on this website of the goods to be sold may be altered as a result of our continuous efforts to improve product quality and performance.

Colour Matches
DC Paint Solutions offers a colour match service. For colour matching services, please send a physical sample to: DC Paint Solutions, Ridge Farm, Main Road, Drayton Parslow, Milton Keynes, MK17 0LJ. If we take the colour matching project on, we may insist on a minimum order of 10 cans, depending on how complex the colour match is (normally for Metallic, Hydro-fluorescent, Anodic or Pearl/Mica projects). For solid project colour matches, we may be able to just charge you for the research and development wastage of £5.00 per aerosol we waste to make your goods. We can accept a paint dried on a white piece of glossy card or plastic. If the card is porous, this can soak the paint and make it darker, which does not make for a good sample. Sending samples via a piece of cloth or material can also be very difficult to provide a match due to the texture and light on a piece of material. Please enquire before sending any physical samples to us.

Corporate Standard

What is the corporate standard by which a paint can be considered within tolerance?

The corporate standard for paint is 80% of the original swatch or colour guide only. This means the colour is considered acceptable if it is a shade up or down, or a shade richer or darker.

Can I email you Screen Images for paint match?

Screen images are never suitable in either making your paint match or for you using the screen to match a colour we have sent you. When the picture is taken, everything from lighting, time of day to any filters and enhancers you have used on your camera can affect the real colour, when you transmit them to your PC, your screen set up and filters will be different to DC Paints and other alternate screens, so this is not a viable option for any kind of matching. We will only accept a physical sample on making paint matches for you. All of our internal paint matches are matched within the corporate acceptable standards of 80% of the original swatch from the main manufacturer, this means we only match to official samples. If you ever experience any issues with a colour match, please contact us directly and we will work with you to resolve it.

Can I send you an INK based colour code for paint?

CMYK, RGB and Hexadecimal are ink based formula normally a key and colours can be found on the side of a magazine or newspaper. These colour ratios cannot be used in terms of paint as the amounts are not the same as paint, with certain tinters being brighter or darker than ink. Pantone have a CMYK book in its series and if you have this code (i.e all codes start with a “P”)

Hybrid Colours

Can we add silver to a colour to make it metallic?

The quick answer is, unfortunately, no! The silver fleck in paint comes in a silver solution, so when you add it to another colour it can greatly affect the original colour and finish of the paint. The fleck in paint used to be metallic, however commonly metallic fleck in most paints today is actually comprised of coloured plastic.

Car Paints

If I send you a sample or bring a sample in to DC Paints, can you match my bike or car?

Unfortunately again the answer is, no! We can only make car/motorcycle paints from a Manufacturers paint code. Common locations of these codes can be found in our car paints menu: https://www.dcpaintsolutions.com/car-spray-paints/car-aerosol-spray-paints

Do you sell Water Based Paints?

Currently DC Paint Solutions only produce Solvent based paints that fall within the “EU Product Directive 2004/42/CE”. We do not produce any water based products.

DC Paint Colour Matched Codes

All colours matched will be logged on the DC Paints Database Library and you can request this paint by code or even date formulated, anytime in the future and the match will be identical to the one you originally received.

Availability
All colours are generally available. If for any reason an item is subsequently found to be unavailable when collating your order, then we will will contact you to decide immediate action.

Prices
The price of the goods shall be the price listed on our website on the date of your order. All prices displayed on the website are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling and must be paid in full.

Ordering
We will treat each order for goods, which is confirmed when you proceed from the relevant Payment screen, as an offer by you to purchase the goods and services subject to these terms and conditions. We shall supply you, subject to availability, with the quantity and specification of goods set out in your order. We shall confirm each order by email and such confirmation shall be our acceptance of the contract between us.

Payment
Payment may be made by any of the methods indicated on our website. Goods will not be shipped unless payment is received in full .

Delivery
Delivery shall be made to the address specified by you at the time of ordering. Goods are usually despatched within 24 hours if the order is placed before 1pm; however, delivery times quoted are approximate only, and we cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience arising from failure to provide the advertised service by DHL, due to factors which could reasonably be considered to be outside our control, i.e. strikes, Christmas delivery etc. We strongly advise that if the goods are time sensitive or required for a specific date, that they are ordered in advance to avoid any possible disappointment. All goods will need to be signed for and or a picture of the delivery for photo proof. Risk of damage or loss of the Tins of solid paint in litres shall pass to you at the time of delivery to the specified delivery address.

Delivery Times
The cut-off for delivery is 1pm, any goods purchased after this time will be sent the following working day. We advise a 2 day dispatch time by DHL if ordered before 1pm. DC Paints always pay for next working day delivery, however once the goods are shipped we have no further control over the goods and take no responisbility should the goods arrive outside the advised 2 day dispatch date. We will always intercede, on request with any dispatch queires and help resolve them for you/the client.

Pre AM & Saturday Deliveries

Pre 10:30am next working day delivery is available on request for £25.00+vat, however your goods are not insured so DHL do not offer any guarantees or refunds if your goods are not delivered on time. Saturday delivery is also available from DHL on request for £50.00+vat, however your goods are not insured so DHL do not offer any guarantees or refunds if your goods are not delivered on time.

Shipping Costs
A standard next working day delivery charge of £7.99+VAT will be charged for all regardless of weight or volume.


UK Non Mainland Delvieries
For shipping to postcodes starting with the following ZE, KW, IV, AB, PH, PA IM, BT, TR, GY and GE, please contact us before placing your order, as further charges may apply. As we use a private Dangerous Goods courier, we are confined to their prices. For certain areas of the UK, DHL may charge increased fees. There are only limited couriers we can use that have a dangerous goods carrying licence, which is reflected within the price. For all of the cases outside of normal shipping costs, please contact the office for a manual order to be set up on 01908 972 393.
We strongly advise double-checking any postal addresses before and during your order. Should the goods be returned to DC Paint Solutions due to incorrect postal address details or where a signature is not made available to release the goods, a further postage charge of £7.99+VAT for re-distribution will occur, or if the client prefers, they can arrange a courier of their own choosing.

International Shipping
At present, we do not ship internationally, but we may review this in future.

Returns
DC Paint Solutions wants you to be totally satisfied with your purchase. DC Paint Solutions will replace or refund the value of any damaged/faulty/incorrect goods supplied. Please return the goods together with the original invoice to DC Paint Solutions in perfect condition to the address specified on the invoice within seven working days after the date of delivery. A certificate of posting should be obtained as we cannot be held responsible for the non-delivery of goods to our address without one. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund any custom mixed colours. All returns and exchanges must be notified within 30 days of purchase. We do not offer refunds on unwanted or over-purchased products. Returns only apply to damaged/faulty/incorrect products, as all goods are bespoke. We do not offer any exchanges or refunds outside of 30 days of purchase.

DC Paint Solutions have the right to refuse any refunds or exchanges. Please call us to discuss any issues with your purchase.

Building/Construction Site Delivery
Please note when sending your goods to a construction/building site, all details of the address must be present on your order. If the delivery does not arrive due to a lack of address details, a postage charge of £7.99+VAT will be applied for re-delivery. If your goods have been signed for on site and/or we have a POD photo, we will not refund/replace any lost deliveries. Sending goods to the site has a common issue with dispatch couriers for a number of reasons; DC Paints would strongly suggest a business/urban or alternate address to alleviate any delays or issues with receiving your goods.

Damaged or Defective Goods
If, in the unlikely event, your goods arrive in a damaged condition or are defective, you must inform us as soon as is practically possible stating the invoice number and the nature of the defect or shortage. Failure to do so will deem that you have accepted the goods. If for any reason a replacement is not available for a damaged or defective item then DC Paint Solutions will refund the value of the returned goods to the original payment method.

Pantone Scheme
DC Paint Solutions are happy to offer the Pantone colour scheme however due to the lack of quality of the pantone books, we can only match within 80% of the books we have in stock. Pantone+ series books are historically fine paper with ink dried onto the pages. This leads to degradation of the colour over time from friction and colour bleaching. DC Paint Solutions own three of these books and the colour differences are noticeable in each book. This would also leads us to the conclusion the books you, our clients possess may also be shades in or out. For this reason we match all of our Pantone colours from our Pantone books within 80% of the original colour and DC Paint Solutions take no responsibility for the colour matches to any other samples or pantone schemes. In the unlikelihood a DC Paint Solutions pantone colour is drastically different from the original colour we require the goods to be sent back where we can test the colour and where necessary replace the goods. If your project is reliant on a particular Pantone colour(s) please send a sample of the colour by post and we will custom match this colour for you.

Cancellations
If you are looking to cancel your order, please contact us within 30 minutes of placing your order by phone or email with your intention to cancel. As all paints we supply are bespoke, we cannot cancel the order once they have been manufactured.
